The PostgreSQL client for every server you run.

Browse tables, run SQL, edit rows in a transaction and read the plan, on local, staging and production side by side. No account, no telemetry.

  • Version 0.1.0
  • macOS, Windows, Linux
  • Runs locally, nothing to sign into

Everything between you and the rows.

A dense, keyboard-first workspace where your data gets the room and the chrome steps back. Every screen here is the real app, running on sample data.

Open any table or view and read its rows in a dense grid, with the primary key and foreign-key columns marked. Filter with a WHERE clause, order, limit and page, and keep the selected row open in the inspector beside it.

Every server, one workspace.

Connect to as many PostgreSQL servers as you need and keep them all live. Open the same table on staging and production side by side and read the difference.

Each tab knows its server
Table, SQL and diagram tabs are bound to their own connection and marked in that connection's color, so production never looks like local.
Safe by default where it matters
Mark a connection read-only and the app refuses to write to it. Edits elsewhere wait in a transaction until you commit.
Reach private networks
Connect through an SSH tunnel, and use TLS with verify-full to check the server's certificate and name.
Secrets stay in the keychain
Passwords and SSH passphrases go to your operating system's keychain, never to a config file.
Coming from pgAdmin
Import the servers you already have from a pgAdmin servers.json and pick which ones to bring.
Sample connections.

An assistant that can look, never touch.

Ask about your schema or for a query in plain words. Postgres Studio hands the question to the Claude Code or Codex CLI you already use and gives it read-only tools. The app has no AI service of its own and no telemetry.

Opt-in and off until you set it up

  1. 1Opt in. It stays off until you turn it on.
  2. 2Pick the Claude Code or Codex CLI already signed in on your machine.
  3. 3Ask. The agent looks through read-only tools; you read the answer.
Read-only by construction
The agent reaches your server only through read-only tools the app serves locally, to look at your schema and run read-only queries. It cannot change your data.
Off until you want it
The Assistant does nothing until you turn it on, and you can turn it off again at any time.
No service of ours
Postgres Studio holds no API key, runs no model and has no AI service. When the Assistant is on, your messages and what the agent reads go to Anthropic or OpenAI under your own CLI account, and nowhere else.

Light or dark, it is the same tool.

One interface in two appearances, built to sit next to your IDE. Drag to compare.

And the rest of the toolbox

Connections
Fill in a form with host, port, database, user and SSL mode up to verify-full, or reach a private server through an SSH tunnel.
Secrets
Passwords and SSH passphrases go to macOS Keychain, Windows Credential Manager or Linux Secret Service, never to a config file.
Coming from pgAdmin
Import the servers from a pgAdmin servers.json, pick which ones to bring, and keep working.
Read-only connections
Mark a connection read-only so nothing can write through it, whatever you type.
Foreign-key navigation
Click a foreign-key value to jump to the row it points to, and see the rows that reference the one you selected.
Inline editing
Double-click a value to change it. Changes wait in a transaction until you commit or roll back.
Export
Export a table or a query result to disk as CSV or JSON.
Logs without secrets
A local log for when a connection fails, which never records passwords or connection strings.

Nothing leaves your machine.

Read the privacy policy
No account
Install it and connect. There is nothing to sign into.
No telemetry
No analytics, no network beyond the servers you add.
Bundled
The SQL editor and every asset ship inside the app and work offline.
Keychain secrets
Passwords and SSH passphrases live in your operating system's keychain.
